College of the Ozarks

        Called “Hard Work U.” by The Wall Street Journal, College of the Ozarks is a fully accredited, four-year liberal arts college located just outside Branson, Missouri. The College charges no tuition. Instead, the institution provides the opportunity for each full-time student to work at one of more than 100 campus work stations to pay in part for his or her cost of education. The remaining portion of each student’s expenses is covered through scholarships provided by gifts and contributions from donors who believe in and support the programs and policies of the College. Debt is openly discouraged and no federal, state, or private loans are made.

The College has been noted for its academic excellence, character development, and affordability by several national publications including The Princeton Review Best Colleges list, The New York Times, USA Today, Forbes, and Money Magazine. U.S. News & World Report has ranked College of the Ozarks a top college in the Midwest since 1989.

To achieve its vision, College of the Ozarks pursues academic, vocational, Christian, patriotic and cultural goals. These goals are mirrored in School of the Ozarks, a laboratory school begun in fall 2012 The addition of the lab school completed the K-college model on the campus of College of the Ozarks.

As part of the patriotic goal, the College has established Patriots Park, which includes The Missouri Vietnam Veterans Memorial, The Missouri Gold Star Families Memorial, the Greatest Generation Flag Plaza, and Veterans Grove. This area acknowledges and honors the sacrifices of all military personnel, Veterans, the fallen heroes and their families. Visitors to Patriots Park are welcome from sunrise to 10 p.m. daily.

Working for an education is the continuing distinctive tradition of the campus. The College is committed to cultivating character, work ethic, and promoting Christian values. For more than 110 years, this unique institution has educated the head, heart, and hands of countless young people.
